Google Maps is undeniably a magnificent invention. An invention that has revolutionized the entire world. It has curbed the boundaries, making this world a smaller place. With Google Maps by your side, you can roam around the world seamlessly without getting lost. Wherever you go, no matter how far it is, Google Maps is there to guide you. It lets you save your valuable time by finding the shortest path and the one with minimal traffic and congestion at a particular time. You can also see pictures of the places that you’re looking for or start voice navigation at any time. What else? There are dozens of other incredible features offered by Google Maps and guess what? Many new features are rolling out!

Yes, the new update for Google Maps is now available and is ready to roll. Over the last couple of months, there were rumors and speculations regarding the release date of updated version and Google finally made it live for android, iOS and web on July, 25.

What’s New?

Google Maps is already very easy to use and with its intuitive user interface, anyone can reap the benefits of its seamless navigation. But the navigation can be quite intricate at times and it might be a bit difficult for the beginners to find locations. But with all new Google Maps, finding places is easier than ever. But how did Google make it happen? Let’s find out!

Google has removed all the unnecessary elements from the Maps. For instance, it stamped out all the unnecessary lines, listings and even the geometric shapes resulting in a cleaner, lighter and more useful version. Removal of all these elements yielded a lot of free space which was then utilized to add other exciting features to the app. By virtue of an improved typography, Google has also included many new street names, popular destinations, transit stations and other points of interests. This will help in getting more accurate traffic information for every street and every corner around the world.

Get Detailed Information of Different Venues

Update your Google Maps and get access to seamless information on different venues, popular tourist spots, hotels, restaurants, shops and much more. The areas with high concentration of bars, restaurants and tourist spots will now be indicated by bright orange colored lines. You can also get a detailed information of any location by simply zooming in and tapping on it. By tapping on a particular location in maps, you’ll also get site reviews, timings, website links, contact details and much more.

Choosing simple and attractive shades of different colors, Google gives the Maps application a fresh look. Besides, Google is also working on its WiFi mode and transit notifications so that the users would be able to access Maps navigation without the need of any cellular connection. However, the feature is already available for selected Smartphones but the goal is to extend its reach and make it available to all the users.

As a matter of fact, there’s much more to it than one could possibly imagine. But a majority of people are still unaware of what Google Maps can do. Google maps puts the entire globe right into your pocket and it definitely makes this world a smaller place.
