What is Live streaming?

Live Streaming is a streaming media simultaneously recorded and broadcast in real-time over the internet, without first being recorded and stored. Live streaming solutions have proven to be quite useful for businesses in the currently video-dominated community. Live streaming is excellent for live events, breaking news, sports, and political speeches, among other things. Many companies use live streaming engines to broadcast digital conferences, seminars, and many more other events.

How VR Videos are being created?

There are several methods to generate a simulated or virtual environment. One of them is using a camera rig like a capture rig or using a 360-degree camera like Ricoh Theta S, z1, Kodak SP360, etc. The other method is creating a virtual world using 3D graphics. This software can be a 3D computer graphics tool in which designers can create any virtual scenes or environments. This scene could be about anything, it could be Jurassic World or Disney Land.

Ant media server supports Live or VoD 360 Video, moreover it also supports adaptive streaming for 360 Degree Videos. To enable the 360 video player, you need to pass the streaming URL parameter. The camera such as Ricoh Theta is a 360° camera that can live stream 4K video to many of the VR headsets, such as HTC Vive, Oculus Go, Oculus Rift, and Google Daydream. This creates a virtual experience using a live camera feed. When the user turns their head in the VR headset, the live streaming feed displayed in the headset transformations as well.
