And for obvious reasons, iPhone 4s, iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPod Touch 5th gen won’t be compatible for the update.

New Lockscreen, New Functions
The first thing you might have noticed is that the camera shortcut that appeared in the corner is gone. So how do you launch camera from your lockscreen? Well, you can still do that by swiping the lockscreen left.
Siri Support For Third Party Apps
You’ll be glad to know that Siri now support many third party apps as well including WhatsApp, WeChat, Skype and Slack. Besides, you can ask Siri to book a ride for you as it now supports various ride hailing apps like Uber and Lyft. You can also ask Siri to send money to a friend using Square and Alipay or make a VoIP call using Skype.
Deleting Default Apps
The long wait is finally over. From now on, you don’t necessarily need to keep all the default apps that you barely use. You can now delete the default apps in the same way you delete others. Just long press the app icon and tap on the tiny close bar (x) that appears at the top left corner. However, the feature doesn’t work for every default app and the Health app is one of ‘em.
Messaging
The new iOS 10 update boasts a messaging experience like never before. Of course, iMessage is now more powerful than ever. But there’s more. It’s now very easy to replace words with emojis. Just write something and then switch to the emoji keyboard. Then it’ll give you the suggestions about which word can be replaced with an emoji by highlight that word in yellow color. Taping on the highlighted word will replace it with the emoji that expresses the same feeling. Also, all the emojis in iOS 10 are neatly redesigned and many new emojis have been added so that you never feel short of expressing your thoughts.
Revamped Apple Maps
How often does that happen when you forget where you parked your vehicle? In glutted parking lots, this kind of problems are quite common. But iOS 10 has come up with one solution. The Apple Maps in iOS 10 helps remember the exact location where you parked your car. The best part is, you don’t even need to do anything for that. Whenever you bring your car to a halt, Apple Maps adds a pin with the car which lets you remember the parking location.
Intelligent Photo Search
You might already have seen the Smart Album feature but there’s more it than you think. iOS 10 continuously analyses the contents of your photos. With smart albums, it recognizes the faces in your photos and sorts them in separate folders. But one thing that you might be unaware of is that it also identify objects in the photos. For instance, if you search for a “window,” it’ll show all the results from your photo library which feature a window.
Cool Screen Effects In iMessage
iMessage is now smarter than you think. There are lots of hidden features in iMessage. One of them is bubble effect and the other one is the laser screen effect. Just launch the iMessage app, type a message and 3D touch the send button. You can then select which effect you want to send along with the text.
